‘Taste Da Caribbean,’ and Bacchanal at Borough Hall
BROOKLYN, NY (June XX, 2022) Brooklyn Borough President Antonio Reynoso today announced Borough Halls’ month-long celebratory events to commemorate Caribbean Heritage Month. Led by Deputy Borough President Diana Richardson, the month-long celebration will focus around three main events at Brooklyn Borough Hall, Civic Corner: BK Caribbean Thrives, ‘Taste Da Caribbean,’ and Bacchanal at Borough Hall.
Caribbean Heritage Month Events at Brooklyn Borough Hall will be:
- Civic Corner: BK Caribbean Thrives – A series of discussions focused on the question: “How can increased civic engagement bolster the Caribbean community in Brooklyn?” Specific topics within that question will touch on census data, redistricting, youth engagement, demographic breakdown, and private investment programs.
- June 10th, 1:00PM to 3:30PM
- Taste Da Caribbean – Brooklyn-based Caribbean restaurants will showcase a sampling of their authentic menu, giving the Brooklyn community the opportunity to come in and taste foods from varied cultures of the Caribbean diaspora.
- June 30th, 12:00PM to 3:00PM
- Bacchanal at Borough Hall – The month-long celebration will conclude with a carnival-like party, complete with authentic live music and dancing[GS(1] .
- June 30th, 5:00PM to 8:00PM
